Typically there are 3 pace groups:
Distances and paces vary every week.
We will have tiered starts with the fast group leaving first, then
after a couple of minutes the next group departs, and so forth.
--------
The group ride leaders ask a few things in return:
* Please understand the paces posted on weekly rides are AVERAGES therefore at certain parts of the course, the
pace increases/decreases . If you can't maintain this average for the entire ride, we ask that you ride at the lower pace.
* Please check the communication every week to see if your pace is posted or not.
We thrive through our
volunteers that give their time to lead. If you can help (we'd be delighted!), we'll train you.
* We ask that you ride behind the leader unless specified otherwise (you're pulling or you clarify
that
you're leaving). Many times, riders pass the leader which confuse the rest of the pack.
* If you decide to leave the pack, please note you do this at your own risk. Your group leaders are
volunteering their time to lead groups while maintaining their training desires. They
can't be responsible for those that don't follow along.
* Please arrive to the Circle in time so you can listen to the announcements and
more importantly identify the group leaders/paces.
* Please carry identification. Should anything happen, this is critical.
Everyone MUST wear a helmet.
